1. What are cookies?
 

Sandó Restauración & Catering’s web (hereafter the Web) uses Cookies. Cookies are files sent to a browser through a web server in order to register the user’s activities in that web. Cookies main purpose is to allow the user a faster access to the selected services. Also, Cookies personalize the Web’sservices, facilitating and offering users interesting or potentially interesting information based on the use they make of the Web’s services. 

The Web uses Cookies to personalize and facilitate the user’s navigation to the maximum. Cookies are only associated to anonymous users and their computers and shall not provide references that could display the users’ personal data. Users shall be able to set their browser so that it notifies and rejects the installation of cookies sent by the Web, without it damaging the users’ access to that web’s contents. However, we must point out that the quality of the web’s performance might be reduced. 

Users already registered -or those to be registered or that have logged in- will be able to take advantage of more personalized and profile-orientated services thanks to the data stored in the cookies together with the personal data used in the moment of logging in. Users expressly authorize the use of such information for the abovementioned purpose, without detriment to their right to reject or disable the use of cookies. 

Likewise, the Web has knowledge of all the services requested by the users in order to be able to facilitate and offer tailor-made information based on the users’ tastes and preferences. 
 

2. What types of cookies are there?
 

Depending on how longthey remain, cookies can be divided into: 

  • Session cookies”: They expire as soon as the user closes the browser.
  • Persistent cookies”:They will be kept until they fulfil their purpose (for example, that the user remains identified in Services) or when they are deleted manually.
     

Additionally, cookies can be classified according to their Purpose:

  • Performance cookies: This type of cookies remembers the user’s preferences for the different tools found in the services; therefore, users do not have to configurate the service each time they visit the web. As an example, within this type we can find:
    • Volume adjustments for video and sound players.
    • The video transmission speed compatible with the user’s browser.
       
  • Geo-localization cookies: These cookies are used to find out in which country the user is when the service is requested. These Cookies are completely anonymous and are only used to help adapt the content to the location.
     
  • Register Cookies: Register Cookies are generated when users register in the web or when they start their session and are used to identify users in the service with the following purposes:
     
    • To keep users identified in a way that, if the service, the browser or the computer are closed, and in another moment during the day the user enters the service again, the user will be still identified without having to register again. This functionality can be disable if the user clicks on “Close session”; then this Cookie would be deleted and next time to enter the service, the user will have to start session to be identified.
    • To check if the user is authorized/entitled to enter certain services, for example, to take part in a competition.
       
  • Analytical Cookies: Every time a user visits a service, an external supplier’s tool generates an analytical Cookie in the user’s computer. This Cookie, that is only generated in the visit, will enable the Web’s Services to identify the visitor anonymously in following visits. The main purposesare:
     
    • To allow the anonymous identification of the users who navigate in the web (the Cookie identifies navigators and devices, not people) in order to count approximately the number of visitors and their tendency in time.
    • To anonymously identify the most visited -and therefore more attractive- contents for the users.   
    • To know if the user that is entering the service is new or is repeating the visit.
    • Important: Unless the user decides to register in the Web’s service, the Cookie will never be associated to any personal data that could help identify the user. Such Cookies will only be used with statistical purposes in order to help optimize the users’ experience of the site.
       
  • Behavioural Advertisement Cookies: This type of Cookies allows the Web to extend the information in the ads shown to each anonymous user in its Services. The duration and frequency of visualization of advertising positions, the interaction with such positions or the user’s navigational and behavioural patterns, as well as other data, are stored to help make up a profile with advertising interest. Thus, users can be offered personalized ads.
     
  • Third party advertising Cookies: In addition to the adds managed by the Web in its Services, the Web offers its advertisers the option of displaying ads through third parties (AdServers). Thus, these third parties can store Cookies sent by the Web’s Services from the users’ browsers, as well as access the data that the Cookies store.

Las Cookies, en función de su Permanencia, pueden dividirse en:

  • “Cookies de sesión”: Las primeras expiran cuando el usuario cierra el navegador.
     
  • “Cookies persistentes”. Las segundas expiran en función de cuando se cumpla el objetivo para el que sirven (por ejemplo, para que el usuario se mantenga identificado en los Servicios) o bien cuando se borran manualmente.

Adicionalmente, en función de su Objetivo, las Cookies pueden clasificarse de la siguiente forma:

  • Cookies de rendimiento: Este tipo de Cookie recuerda sus preferencias para las herramientas que se encuentran en los servicios, por lo que no tiene que volver a configurar el servicio cada vez que usted visita. A modo de ejemplo, en esta tipología se incluyen:
    • Ajustes de volumen de reproductores de vídeo o sonido.
    • Las velocidades de transmisión de vídeo que sean compatibles con su navegador.
       
  • Cookies de geo-localización: Estas Cookies son utilizadas para averiguar en qué país se encuentra cuando se solicita un servicio. Esta Cookie es totalmente anónima, y sólo se utiliza para ayudar a orientar el contenido a su ubicación.
     
  • Cookies de registro: Las Cookies de registro se generan una vez que el usuario se ha registrado o posteriormente ha abierto su sesión, y se utilizan para identificarle en los servicios con los siguientes objetivos:
    • Mantener al usuario identificado de forma que, si cierra un servicio, el navegador o el ordenador y en otro momento u otro día vuelve a entrar en dicho servicio, seguirá identificado, facilitando así su navegación sin tener que volver a identificarse. Esta funcionalidad se puede suprimir si el usuario pulsa la funcionalidad “cerrar sesión”, de forma que  esta Cookie se elimina y la próxima vez que entre en el servicio el usuario tendrá que iniciar sesión para estar identificado.
    • Comprobar si el usuario está autorizado para acceder a ciertos servicios, por ejemplo, para participar en un concurso.
       
  • Cookies analíticas: Cada vez que un Usuario visita un servicio, una herramienta de un proveedor externo  genera una Cookie analítica en el ordenador del usuario. Esta Cookie que sólo se genera en la visita, servirá en próximas visitas a los Servicios de la Web para identificar de forma anónima al visitante. Los objetivos principales que se persiguen son:
    • Permitir la identificación anónima de los usuarios navegantes a través de la “Cookie” (identifica navegadores y dispositivos, no personas) y por lo tanto la contabilización aproximada del número de visitantes y su tendencia en el tiempo.
    • Identificar de forma anónima los contenidos más visitados y por lo tanto más atractivos para los usuarios.
    • Saber si el usuario que está accediendo es nuevo o repite visita.
    • Importante: Salvo que el usuario decida registrarse en un servicio de la Web, la “Cookie” nunca irá asociada a ningún dato de carácter personal que pueda identificarle. Dichas Cookies sólo serán utilizadas con propósitos estadísticos que ayuden a la optimización de la experiencia de los Usuarios en el sitio.
       
  • Cookies de publicidad comportamental: Este tipo de “Cookies” permite ampliar la información de los anuncios mostrados a cada usuario anónimo en los Servicios de la Web. Entre otros, se almacena la duración o frecuencia de visualización de posiciones publicitarias, la interacción con las mismas, o los patrones de navegación y/o compartimientos del usuario ya que ayudan a conformar un perfil de interés publicitario. De este modo, permiten ofrecer publicidad afín a los intereses del usuario.

3. What type of Cookies do we use?
 

  • Session Cookies:

    • Cookie’s duration: It is deleted when closing the session. 
    • Purpose: PHP standard Cookie to control the performance of the session when visiting the Web. The Cookie is used to store a session identifier and distinguish among different sessions. It is essential for the Web’s performance.

    • Cookie’s duration: 2 years validity
    • Purpose: Google Analytics Cookie that enables the generation of a unique User’s identifier (client ID), which is a number generate randomly to be stored in the Cookie and which is sent back to Google Analytics during each visit or request to carry out statistics regarding the Web’s use. This Cookie does not allow Neat Group the user’s personal identification.

    • Purpose: Google Analytics Cookie used to differentiate among the different monitoring objects created during the session. This Cookie is updated every time it sends the data to Google Analytics and does not allow Neat Group the user’s personal identification.

4. How to disable the Cookies?


Usually the user has the possibility of accepting or not the browser’s Cookies in a certain Service.

5. Can modifications to the Cookies Policy be made?

 

The Web can modify this Cookies Policy depending on the current regulatory law or with the purpose of adapting such policy to the instructions stated by the Spanish Agency for Data Protection (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos). For this reason, we recommend the users to visit it periodically.  

When significant changes in the Cookies Policy are carried out, users will be duly informed either through the Web or through an electronic mail sent directly to the registered users.
